What are the Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2019

The Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2019 is decided by the exam conducting body NTA. Candidates have to carefully check the Criteria before applying for the examination. The students who will be able to fulfill the Eligibility Criteria, only they are requested to fill the Application Form. If an Application is filled without fulfilling these Criteria then that particular Application would be canceled by the exam authority. The final date for registration has arrived. Therefore it is important that you check the Criteria in detail and apply for the exam before you miss the last date. Since this examination is conducted twice in a year that’s why the date of registration for both the exams is different. The first exam will be conducted in February 2019 and its registration begins on the 1st of October 2018. The second exam will be conducted in May 2019 and its registration begins on the 2nd week of March 2019. NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • The date of birth of the students belonging from SC/ST/OBC and PwD category should fall between 7th May 1989 and 1st January 2003. The date of birth of the students belonging from Unreserved Category should fall between 7th May 1994 and 1st January 2003.
  • The students must have a qualifying certificate of 10+2 exam from a well-recognized board. Students belonging from the General category should have minimum 50% marks, SC, ST, and OBC category should have minimum 40% and PwD Category should have minimum 45% marks. The certificate must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as subjects. The students who will give the 10+2 exam this year are also eligible to apply for this examination but the final result should satisfy the eligibility criteria.
  •  The students who are completing the Bachelor’s course should have the same subjects in their programme. Students studying B.Sc should have at least 2 subjects from Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The Institution should be a recognized Institution.
  • Indian Nationals, NRI, Overseas Citizen in India, Foreign National, and PIO are eligible to apply for this examination.
  • You should have a certificate of your Nationality and Caste Category. It is required while you’re filling the Application Form.
  • The General category students are allowed to take 9 attempts and SC, ST and OBC category students are allowed to take 14 attempts of this exam.
